Short and sweet:
With a running time of approximately fifteen minutes, the films are a delight to watch over and over and to share with
friends and family. Like espresso, they have all of the good stuff and none of the filler. It's a wonderful tradition to watch
the film on every anniversary.
Low-tech start, high-tech finish:
The films are captured on good old analog celluloid — an extraordinary medium that has yet to meet its match. After
the wedding, they are scanned with the highest quality equipment at 270 million bits per second, and edited on the latest
and greatest software. Packages include ten DVDs, so there will be plenty of extras for the grandparents — and someday,
for the grandchildren.
Free of cringe-inducing effects:
The films authentically capture the romance and emotion of the occasion — the essence of the day — with
no need for sentimental fades or a crescendo of strings. The approach is to record the day, not to disrupt
it: To be calm and discreet, while constantly reacting and adapting to the scene at hand — looking for
the moments that the couple might miss in the overwhelming whirlwind of the event. No bright lights or microphones in the
guests’ faces.
The ‘Our Song’ Edit:
In addition to the fifteen-minute silent film, packages include a highlight film of the footage from the whole day, set
to the music from the couple’s first dance. Word on the street is that these little gems delight even the most grumpy
relatives and cynical friends. Please see the 'Our Song' Edit page for more information.
Flip-books:
After the event, the super 8 footage can be transformed into a unique and playful flip-book — the small books with
photos that 'animate' when you flip the pages quickly. They make wonderful keepsakes and thank-yous for friends and family.
Please see the Flip-Book page for more information.
Travel: Worker Bee Designs is based in New York, but delighted to travel to
all corners of the world.
Pricing: Prices for filming an event start at $4,000.
If you have trouble viewing the film above, you may need to download Adobe Flash. It is free, and is generally quick and painless to install. If that doesn't work, please try the links on this page or contact me; I would be happy to send you a file by email, or to mail you a DVD.
